DSSC Recruitment Eligibility 2023

Stenographer Grade II

  • 12th-class pass or its equivalent from an accredited University or Board
  • Test of Skill Norms: Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 words per minute, and transcription: 50 or 65 minutes (on a computer) for English or Hindi.

Lower Division Clerk

  • 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University
  • Skill Test: A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer (Time allowed – 10 minutes).

Driver of Civilian Motor Vehicles (Ordinary Grade)

  • 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University
  • Must possess the civilian driving license for heavy vehicles.
  • Driving big vehicles for two years with a reputable organization or undertaking.

Sukhani

  • 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University
  • A swimming certificate from a reputable organization or undertaking.
  • Good sailing skills and two years of boating experience.
  • Capable of Operating Outboard Motors. OR
  • Former Indian Navy sailors with the rank of leading Seaman or higher.

Fireman

  • Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board
  • A civilian driving license for heavy vehicles is required.
  • A certificate from an organization or undertaking that has been recognized for its expertise in the use and maintenance of first aid, fire fighting equipment, and trailer fire pumps for at least six months.
  • Must have completed the test described in the Note below, be physically competent of performing demanding duties, and be in good physical condition.
  1. 165 cms height without shoes, with a 2.5 cms in-shoe allowance for ST, height is permitted.
  2. 81.5 cm for the chest when not expanded
  3. 85 cms., when expanded
  4. Weight: 50 kg (at least)
  5. Measure of endurance carrying a male (fireman list of 63.5 kg covers 183 meters in 96 seconds)
  6. Clearing landing on both feet in a ditch 2.7 meters wide.
  7. Use hands and feet to climb a rope that is 3 meters vertical.

Cook

  • 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University
  • Two years of trade-related experience from a reputable organization or enterprise. OR
  • Institution for Industrial Training Obtain a Cooking Certificate from a reputable Institute.
  • Having two years of industry-recognized experience from an organization or undertaking.

Technical Attendant – Printing Machine Operator

  • Institution for Industrial Training Printing Machine Operator Pass Certificate from an Approved Institute. OR
  • Matriculation pass or equivalent examination from a recognized Board / Institute.
  • At least one year experience of working as Printing Machine Operator from a recognised Organisation.

Multi-Tasking Staff – (Office and Training)

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board/Institute.

Selection Procedure for DSSC Vacancy 2023

  • Every application will be examined for compliance with age restrictions, minimum educational requirements, documentation, and certificates. Then, call letters for the written exam will be given to qualified candidates.
  • The qualified candidates must show up for the written exam.
  • The written exam will be based on the required level of education.
  • The written exam covers the following topics: (i) General Reasoning and Intelligence; (ii) Numerical Aptitude; (iii) General English; (iv) General Awareness; and (v) Trade-Specific.
  • There will be English and Hindi on the question and answer sheet.
  • Depending on their performance in the written test and their category, the required number of candidates will be shortlisted and invited to participate in skill or physical tests.

How to Apply for DSSC Offline Form 2023?

  • Subject to vacancies and qualifications, qualified applicants may submit applications for any of the aforementioned posts.
  • For those with a minimum of three years of regular employment and a permanent position with the Central Government, a No Objection Certificate is necessary.
  • An application for an ex-serviceman must be submitted along with a photocopy of their discharge book that has been self-attested.
  • In the sequence listed below, the following papers must be submitted with the application form:
  1. The application form must be completed in English, duly signed, and with a self-attested photograph.
  2. Acknowledgement Cards must be completed and self-attested with a photo attached.
  3. Self-attested copies of the following documents are required: Aadhaar Card, Diploma/ITI/Certificates, Discharge Books, OBC/SC/ST/EWS Certificates, PwBD Certificates, Driving Licenses, and Experience Certificates, as necessary.
  4. A self-Addressed, 10 x 22 cm. envelope with a Rs. 22/-postage stamp should be attached.
  5. Applicants must clearly write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __” on the outside of the envelope, which should be addressed to The Commandant, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiris), 643 231, Tamil Nadu.
