CTET Jan 2024 Application Fee

Candidates from the General or OBC categories must pay Rs. 1000 if they are applying for Paper I or Paper II, and Rs. 1200 if they are applying for both papers. For applicants who fall under the SC/ST category, the same price is reduced to Rs. 600/-if they apply for either Paper I or Paper II, and Rs. 600/-if they apply for both papers.

CTET Jan 2024 Qualification Details

The selection of candidates for the teaching job in Classes 1 through 5 and Classes 6 through 8 is based on distinct eligibility criteria. Let’s examine the educational requirements that candidates must meet to be considered for these two sections:

  • A candidate who passed the final year exam for a two-year diploma in elementary education OR who passed their senior secondary exam, or an exam that is comparable, with at least 50% of the possible points
  • According to the NCTE Regulations of 2002, a candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 45% of the possible points and either passed or appeared in the final year exam of the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • A candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with at least 50% of the possible points, as well as clearing or appeared in the Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years) final exam. OR
  • A candidate who has passed the Senior Secondary or an equivalent exam with at least 50% of the possible points and who passed or made an appearance in the Diploma in Education final year exam (2 years in length). OR
  • An applicant with a bachelor’s degree who passed or showed up for the final exam of the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education program.
  • A candidate who has completed their two-year elementary education diploma program and has passed or is scheduled to take the final examination. OR
  • A candidate who passed or made an appearance in the final year exam of the Bachelor of Education program and who earned a 50% graduation degree. OR
  • A candidate who, in accordance with NCTE guidelines, passed or participated in the final year test of the Bachelor of Education after completing their graduation degree with 40% of the possible points. OR
  • A candidate for a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education program must have cleared or appeared in the final year exam after completing Senior Secondary School or an equivalent test with at least 50% of the possible points. OR
  • A candidate who passed the senior secondary exam or its equivalent with 50% of the possible points and cleared the B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. final year exam OR
  • A candidate who has completed a one-year B.Ed program and graduated with 50% of the possible points.

Based on their performance in the CTET December 2023 Exam, candidates who are going to take the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be selected for further consideration. As the CTET is merely an eligibility test, passing it does not guarantee candidates a job. They must apply for employment at various schools in accordance with the openings that require CTET Certification, for which candidates must receive at least 60% of the possible points in order to be chosen.

Exam Pattern for CTET Jan 2024

The CTET 2023 Exam will be conducted in two phases:

  1. Paper I
  2. Paper II

Candidates who hope to teach classes 1 to 5 are asked to participate in Paper I, while candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8 are asked to participate in Paper II.   • The educational psychology of teaching and learning pertinent to the age range of 6 to 11 years old will be the emphasis of the test items on child development and pedagogy. They will concentrate on comprehending the traits and requirements of a variety of learners, interacting with learners, and the qualities and traits of an effective learning facilitator.
  • The Language Test Items I’ll concentrate on the competencies associated with the teaching medium.
  • The Language II test items will concentrate on language components, communication skills, and comprehension abilities.
  • A different language than Language I will be used in Language II. From the available language options, a candidate may designate one as Language I and another as Language II. They must indicate this choice on the Confirmation Page.

  • The concepts, problem-solving skills, pedagogical knowledge, and applications of the topics will be the main focus of the Environmental Studies and Mathematics test items. The test items in each of these subject areas will be evenly split across the various sections of the NCERT-recommended syllabus for classes I through V.
  • Although the subjects covered in the NCERT syllabus for classes I through V will be the basis for the test’s first paper, the questions’ level of complexity and their connections may reach the secondary level.

The CTET 2023 Notification and the updated CTET Syllabus are now available. Candidate preparation for the next CTET exam should start with familiarizing themselves with the comprehensive syllabus. The extensive CTET Syllabus 2023 centers on pedagogy and child development, which is one of the most crucial areas of the exam. Languages, Science/Environmental Science, and Mathematics are some of the other topics that will be tested in CTET 2023. In addition, the candidate must be proficient in any two languages (chosen from the list provided in the notification).

CTET Paper-I Syllabus : This includes Language I and II, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Child Development and Pedagogy.

CTET Paper-II Syllabus : This includes Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Language I and II, and Child Development and Pedagogy. The candidate must select a subject from Social Studies or Math/Science in accordance with their specialization.

The CTET certificate is now valid for life, instead than just for appointments as previously thought. The Minister of Education declared that the updated validity would take effect in 2011, and candidates whose certificates have expired can obtain fresh certificates that have no expiration date. According to a recent announcement, applicants whose TET credentials have already expired after 2011 will need their certificates revalidated or issued by the States and UTs. The CTET certificate had previously had a seven-year validity period (from the date of issuing).

CTET Jan 2024 Admit Card

Two days before to the exam’s scheduled date, CBSE publishes the CTET exam admit card. As soon as the admission card for the CTET 2023 exam is available, it will be uploaded here. By clicking on the provided link, all applicants can download their hall pass or admit card.

On the official website, ctet.nic.in, CBSE will issue the provisional CTET Answer Key 2023. This will provide candidates a chance to contest or object to the Provisional Answer Key. Following the evaluation of each problem submitted by the applicants by subject matter experts, the final solution keys will be made available on ctet.nic.in. The final answer keys will be used to announce the CTET Result.

CTET Jan 2024 Result

Following the CTET examination, the results will be announced by the CBSE. Within four (four) weeks following the exam date, the CTET result will be announced. Thus, after a month, the CTET 2023 Result will be tentatively announced.

Cutoff for CTET Jan 2024

A mark sheet will be sent to the candidates who appear in the CTET. Candidates who receive 60% or more on the general exam will receive an eligibility certificate, whose seven-year validity has been extended to a lifetime.

In accordance with their current reservation policy, school management (government, local authorities, government aided and unaided) may think about making accommodations for members of the SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc.
